With Google's recent antics, I'm looking for a viable community alternative for search. I can't (and probably won't ever) stop using their services. But I'd love to use something else from time to time.
Has anyone used YaCy before? Are there others I should be looking into?

Have you tried https://startpage.com which uses google search as a backbone? Might be worth a shot if you want to keep using google but not directly.

Does that mean you have professional or academic commitments which require use of GMail, GDocs, GCal, etc.?
