The Hispanic vote is destined to overwhelm the rest of the voting populace in the next 50 years and it will have been because of California. The blacks haven't figured it out yet, but the democrats abandoned them long ago. It started happening in 1965 when our immigration policy changed and now we are at the point where the black population is actually in decline while the Hispanic population continues to explode.
In 10-20 years the blacks will be all but forgotten by Democrat lawmakers as they move to replace their Uncle Toms like Elijah Cummings and replace them with Uncle Joses. Since identity politics is the only way they know how to win, they won't have choice.

The electoral college doesn't matter when sanctuary cities exist in every state. I live a couple miles from one. Its one of the oldest cities in my state and its become little mexico. The Hispanics increase in population exponentially every decade. Even legal ones tend to vote overwhelmingly democrat and i don't see that changing any time soon.
Also, don't be surprised to see a nationwide referendum to end the electoral college in the next 20 years.

Raise welfare slightlybut lower the baby cap to 2. Slight bonus for foster and adoptions. It might contribute to a stagnant population growth, I don't think top lawmakers want that

800,000 people licensed in 2 years...but it's racist to require that exact same ID to vote. They don't seem to have any problems getting illegals driver's licenses when they want to, though. Go figure.

...I vote in California, well I started voting when I became a citizen that is, but nobody ever asked me to prove anything about my citizenship when I first registered; think about it for a sec: the first time I got my driving license, I most definitely was not a citizen; I never had to inform the DMV of my change of status; in fact, now that I am thinking about it, I never informed any California administration about it, so unless the USCIS did it on my behalf - which I doubt - the only info that exists about me at the state level about my immigration status is that I am a foreigner on some kind of visa. Yet, nobody blinked an eye or questioned me when I registered to vote (which I did legally because I am a law abiding citizen and all but nothing and no-one would have stopped me had I started voting just fresh off the boat). It's mind boggling. Those who affirm that no fraud exist have absolutely no basis for that assertion, if anything, everything points to the opposite.

What other countries can you go to, break the law and receive the royal treatment?
[–] Diogenes_The_Cynic 0 points 9 points 9 points (+9|-0) ago
This was actually necessary. I used to live in L.A. and every night on the news, some asshole would run over a pedestrian and not stop to render aid. For whatever reasons I don't want to speculate on, DUI among Latino people is super high already, and coupled with no licensing, it led to tons of hit-and-runs.
So the state, since they only had the power to license people, and the feds are the ones responsible for enforcing immigration law, did what they could, and allowed illegal immigrants to get licenses. Now with licenses they could get insurance, and not worry about having their cars towed if they had a broken taillight.
Overall it was not a bad idea, but it highlighted how bad the feds let the immigration issue get.

To be fair the MVA is truly horrendous. When I lived out there it would have taken me 9 months to get my full license, as an adult. Instead I flew back home for a week, took the written test to prove I knew that, scheduled a drivers test ASAP ( 4 days later ) and flew back home with my license. It was efficient.

Can confirm, a family member has been hit by many mexicans. They just drive off.
[–] BAppreciAting 2 points 0 points 2 points (+2|-2) ago (edited ago)
Licensing illegals to drive must be part of auto, insurance and petroleum industry's agenda?!$.
[–] gentlemanadventurer 0 points 5 points 5 points (+5|-0) ago
Literally. Mexicans will hit your car and drive off if not caught. Even if they are caught foreign nationals are judgement proof. You can't sue them or garnish their wages because they will just change their information and move on. But you know what you get? Higher insurance costs. Yaaaay Mexico! Land of the two legged Spaniard parasite! Destroyer of Western worlds.

Yet another reason not to go to California.
