I still have my black one from 1985 in storage. Now if only I still had my OP (Ocean Pacific) t-shirts and 1980s Levi's 501s.

I assume you were either born in or after the 80s and missed the whole phenomenon that was Members Only. It's an 80s thing, you wouldn't understand. /s

It really did something. Before I sported my black Members Only jacket I was a skinny dweeb with had no mojo with the ladies. After I got my jacket and put it on, I went and got my hair spiked, bought me some Ray-Bans and threw an all New Wave mix tape in my Sony Walkman and became a chick magnet. Okay, not really, but I did honestly snag my first long term girlfriend (and later wife then ex-wife) because I won a bunch of small plush toys from a claw machine at the bowling alley across the street from my high school and had them in my jacket pockets. After hanging out at the bowling alley for the morning I decided to not cut English class because she sat next to me there. Plush unicorn toy and Members Only jacket magic broke the ice and we started "going around" to use the vernacular of the time and locale. Best jacket ever. I guess it was a true tagline so to speak. Oh, and my hair was spiked as well so that part was also true.
