One of the things that most concerns me about the surveillance state is 1) knowledge is power. 2) Who then has knowledge (and power). 3) Therefore, who is running the state.

Bear in mind that nothing that goes across any network is unknown to our intelligence agencies. Which suggests that 1) they know of and 2) condone any illicit activity. The presumption is if it is in their interest they will make it ‘known’ — i.e. use it to their advantage.

Further, it is wise to presume they have the ability to ‘create’ evidence. as necessary, to lead to whatever conclusion they deem in their interest.

When I look at conflict around the world I look at whose interests are involved. Do you really think anyone poses an imminent threat to the US, or perhaps I should say, to those in control?
