Painting is easy and cheap if

-The current paint job is in decent shape

-You are preparing for a sale of your home

Our yard is a hot mess. It needs to be roto-tilled a foot down, all the rocks taken out, re-layered with soil, and reseeded.

But since I don't own the house, I just have to hope my landlord slash roommate decides to do it.

I have been wanting to build a pegboard/shelves storage area in the basement for a while. Also been planning the couch bed for years and I think I have a good framing blue print, just need to learn more about the fabric/padding.

Landscape garden, put up alcove shelving, lag & board out the loft, rip out old fireplace and install stove, sand and varnish floorboards throughout, convert garage into office space, build colonial style window blinds, replace kitchen work surfaces with butcher block, paint PVC window frames, replace radiators with nicer looking ones, install downstairs WC, install PV cells on roof, redecorate bathroom, remove large tree from yard, replace hedge with fence.

My house looks great at the moment but I keep dreaming up projects...

Hmmm... doesn't everyone need an extra couple basement levels for some artsy movie projections? Definitely not torture chambers and kill rooms...

I'm redoing the insulation.
