"First judicial office spokeswoman Pam Russel said the change to the unit won’t affect any cases already charged and arrested, but may halt the current investigations that the unit was working on."
may halt current investigations. is the timing coincidence?

CBS is corrupt and should be archived in the OP. It doesn't deserve our support. Please keep this in mind for future posts.

The problem with these sorts of setups it's that it always brings up the entrapment argument. While pedophilia is a real thing, law enforcement overreach is also a real thing. The day care sex abuse hysteria of the 80s was a real thing. A lot of innocent people were made to suffer for the hallucinations of cops with career agendas. These guys are creeps but that's all they are.
What we're focusing on are hardcore motherfuckers who not only prey on children, but profit from preying on them...or killing them. Let's not get distracted by tiny fish.
The unit was shut down because there is supposed to be a firewall between the Police and DA. The DA office was doing police work, and a defense attorney shrewdly exploited that on behalf of his client. That threw a wrench into the whole thing. Your current cases will be compromised as a result.

Wonder why they called the pedophile busting unit Cheezos?

The people reporting the story and some of the people in it look to be natural allies. Maybe part of our strategy is pulling in people at the local level. Thoughts?

I sent some pedo awareness to our local police and to the local news about a month so. I didn't get a reply

I hate to say it since I would love to see all these people arrested, but I kind of agree with shutting it down. From the article, it was a unit from the DA's office conducting these stings, NOT law enforcement. They said a defense attorney filed a challenge saying that anything from the DA's office would be a conflict of interest for prosecution, and I have to agree with that.
