Don't panic, friends, but the Chinese navy just nicked one of America's underwater drones • The Register
'As the US naval oceanographic vessel went to retrieve it, a Chinese ship that had been shadowing the Americans lowered a boat and grabbed it themselves. ', "A diplomatic incident is brewing after US defense officials accused a Chinese warship of filching one of America's robotic submersibles."
'We call upon China to return our UUV immediately, and to comply with all of its obligations under international law. '
'The Chinese now have much better control over the military, particularly the navy. ', "We're told the Seaglider underwater drone was being picked up by the USNS Bowditch in the South China Sea after it surfaced for collection."

And then Obama does what he does best tuck tail and piss his pants. Reagan would have had none of that BS.

Still not having a self-destruct mechanism on these secretive drones seems like an awful big failure. Seems like something that should have been standard before the Iran-U.S. RQ-170 incident and definitely after. Now the Chinese will reverse engineer and viola, saved a lot of money in research and development.
Edit: On second thought, I'm not sure this underwater drone or its technology are that secretive. I assume it, but should not jump to conclusions.

In six months a knock off that costs 90% less will be for sale from China.
