The smoke has overtaken Palm Springs, where I live. Picture from yesterday when things weren't so bad.

Ah that shitty little PS mall. Haven't been there in a while (I'm out in the dirty D). This was my view yesterday. ...well, and today too.
I have an awesome video too from when it was first rolling in. I was almost directly under the border, so one side is all sunshine and blue skies, then I turn around and it looks like the fucking apocalypse.

Haha! This was at Camelot theater.
Yes!! That's what I told my coworkers - it's freaking Doom's Day. Today everything is eerily red.

Air quality in my area topped off at 187 today. It is really nasty.

I am 25 miles or so from the fire and the air is pretty acrid in these parts.
Me too! A friend from Australia is visiting just for a week, and the temperatures of 115F in Palm Springs coupled with all the smoke are less than ideal scenarios :(

I just got back from Palm Springs. It was ungodly hot and the sky isn't showing any blue at all. D: Yukky.

I definitely do not miss the fires in California. Selling the family cabin in Big Bear was painful, but also relieved a great deal of stress during fire season.
