I live in Guernsey and pretty much all of my friends seem to be shitlords, but i don't know if it's commonplace everywhere on the island

In the Philippines, the older folks are shameless shitlords and shitladies. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, and parents would comment on one's weight gain in lieu of a greeting. My father is one of the best shitlords I know. An example: My sister is fat. She just got engaged and of course, we're all happy for her. But my father couldn't resist saying, "Maybe you'll think about losing weight more seriously because who would want to look like an elephant in their wedding dress?" Way to go, pops.

But sadly, the obese population of my country is steadily growing.

I had a fat cow-worker in Taiwan who said she ordered in a restaurant. They told her she'd ordered too much. She said "Well that's up to me isn't it?". They brought her her food and said "You shouldn't eat so much, you're fat".

Hong Kong. We have limitless ways to insult hamplanets here. You could freely shitlord in person / online / articles in newspaper , between relatives / friends / strangers. No one will say you should not insult hamplanets here, just some might say that's rude to do it.

That's why we don't see too many obese Chinese.

Hong Konger is not exactly Chinese, but yeah ... similar culture on this aspect. I think East Asia is the same on this issue, including Japan, Korea and Taiwan.

The Phillipines, specifically the (grand) mama's and sassy female cousins.

I visited Spain last year, the only planets I saw were tourists. But there were quite a few overweight locals. With all that glorious fresh food and fruit, it must be hard to get fat.
