And that's why I no longer use my cast iron cookware. It's great but I hate cleaning it.
Now if it doesnt go in the dishwasher I don't use it.

After time it kind of becomes second nature, the really old (1900) U.S. iron pans are the glassiest, and easiest by far to keep clean with minimal effort.

As a side note does anyone know if you can put the enameled cast iron in the dish washer and get it clean?

The dishwasher will do a number on the iron, itself, you would definitely need to re-season afterwards. If it's possible to clean without the dishwasher, using water and vinegar and then rinsing with pure water may do the trick.
