Word of Mouf by Ludacris and at that time I could only by the edited version. It was worth every penny to me back then.

All Saints - All Saints

I wanted Matchbox 20 - Yourself or Someone Like You, but my mum thought the guy on the cover looked weird.

First album I ever bought myself was KoRn's Follow the Leader album. First one ever bought for me at my request would've been a cassette of Weird Al's Greatest Hits.

Eminem - The Eminem Show. Technically not a "purchase," because I borrowed the album and copied the CD. But it was the first actual physical piece of music I owned. I have actually never paid money for music except that time I bought a 1-year subscription to Pandora One (premium Pandora).

You people really make me feel old. The first album for me was Iron Maiden's Seventh Son of the Seventh Son, followed by Bon Jovi's New Jersey. Both in 1988. Yeah I listen to both - played in a band and all that - they're still my favs to this day.

A couple of months ago I bought a used Slayer Cd. When I got home and looked at the Cd this NWA was actually what was in the case.

I wasn't even mad.

I'm a bit of a metal head myself and don't listen to much rap these days but I still go back and listen to this album every now and then.

Smash, the Offspring. Baby-sitting increased my teenage purchasing power hugely.
