Word of Mouf by Ludacris and at that time I could only by the edited version. It was worth every penny to me back then.

I was an early adopter of the Edison recorder and my first album was "Whistle and I'll Wait for You" by ada jones.

First album I ever bought myself was KoRn's Follow the Leader album. First one ever bought for me at my request would've been a cassette of Weird Al's Greatest Hits.

Embarrassingly, the very first cassette I can recall purchasing (with my allowance money) was the Paula Abdul - Forever Your Girl. I thought that music video for Opposites Attract was just phenomenal. On a side note, I think a lot kids/teenagers are missing out on a great experience if they don't have a physical music store they can go to.

Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet on cassette. I was six when that came out and loved You Give Love a Bad Name.
