The topper for me is that fatty didn't give reasons, as clearly specified in the question, it gave excuses. None of what it said backed up why weight is a challenge for human health. It's just a bunch of incorrect drivel about why people are fat. It's not hard to see that fat rots the brain.

Exactly my first thought.

In discussions, I try to cite the studies I know. When the reply is based on feelings and excuses, I switch to "unscientific mode", which means I only use ad hominem or ad personam attacks, as nasty as possible, because I can then be assured that my "discussion" partner is a fact-resistant idiot.

I find it amusing that it thinks video games are an actual cause of obesity. Look at those guys who are professional gamers - many of them are a normal weight.

I love the "fast food is cheap" answer. A combo meal costs around 10 bucks base. 10 bucks is chicken, potatos rice and beans for 5 days easy.

Yeah... I don't try to eat especially cheaply, and I'm somewhat picky about healthy foods, but I still pay less than $2.50 per meal I think, on average. I'm sure I could still scrape by on a budget like that if I were eating only at fast food restaurants, but it wouldn't be fun. Big Macs are $4 each these days apparently? Too expensive for me right there, and I didn't even get any fries... nor the second burger I might want after my Big Mac because I'm burning too much energy lifting my super-cheap weights I bought from Walmart and riding my bike that I don't pay any money to put gas into (because I'm not a fat idiot).

Cheers, i bike commute even though I have a company van. Nice to get a few miles in the morning. Basically live on breakfast tacos or burritos, and some form of chicken or tuna or eggs.

I don't get it either. I grabbed some burgers & fries from a local take out place last night (so not a chain) for my husband and I, and 2 burgers, 1 large fry, and a large coke cost about $21 with the tax. $20 is cold cuts for the whole week from our local deli (turkey, corned beef, prosciutto, cheese) There's no way a fast food meal is cheaper than buying some ingredients and making things yourself.

A spend a great deal of time playing video games.

I hover around 18.5 bmi - 19.5 bmi

If you're constantly shoving shit down ur gullet, you're not giving the game the attention it deserves.

I recently cleaned and fixed my G27 after probably 400+ hours of simracing. I find that games actually make me eat less (no snacks) because I simply can't pause them at any time to eat.

I just like getting absorbed into a game. Even when I was a smoker I could go an entire day and not even think about smoking if a game sank it's hooks into me. I've had to do a lot to deal with video game addiction and have it under control now, though, I don't miss meals noe and I don't factor gaming into decisions on family or friend time.

I can't stand TV, though, not just because it's all propaganda bullshit but simply because it cannot engage my brain in a way gaming can.

I'm just curious OP... where did you find this? Was this something at your school? And is it college or high school?
