Established Voat user checking in, Please do not do that. The simple fact that Reddit has left them alone while banning FPH, Coontown, etc is a very clear indication where Spez's loyalty lies. Brigading them to get them shut down is not only guaranteed to cast Voat in a negative light, it is counterproductive to your goals of exposing them.

I actually wouldn't recommend that. Right now, you know where they all go and can watch them in their natural habitat. If people start invading and poking the hive, then they'll know they're being actively, heavily watched (which they should be anyways). They'll start acting differently, possibly changing things around, and potentially make it harder for people to find out info. They should already be on guard 24/7, but messing with them will only make it more difficult to obtain relevant info, imo. Leave them be, watch them, and wait for them to screw up.

People should avoid turning this into a "witch hunt", which was originally the accusation by Reddit in shutting down the sub. Pedophillia the mental disease is not the same as Satanic power elites kidnapping, molesting, and killing kids.

I'm not justifying it, just saying if it turns into harassing people (justified or not), it will most definitely be used to discredit us. Hell, I dont care what happens to anyone self-identifying as a pedo on the internet, but people do need to keep cool.

There are two strategies (and more) when going about getting info on things...one is loud bang, the other is silent but deadly. There is a time for both.
I'm just putting this out there as an option. Do what you think is best.
And no, posting info about this investigation is NOT a witchhunt. People know that. Sheesh, the vibe has gotten so shilly.

I hope I'm better at outing paedophiles than I am at killing flies.
It would be interesting if someone were to find out who these "pedo friends" really are, and inform respectable citizens about their activities...

We really have more important things to focus on, such as the pedophilia Satanic network that includes many of the world's most powerful people. Or that this network at the lowest rungs extends down to schools and day cares. Random Internet people talking about their pedophilic urges should be item #54221754 on our list of priorities.

How about no? Firstly, how is that helpful or relevant to this investigation? Secondly, the thing is, it's not a place that's encouraging people to go out there and molest children - it's doing the opposite. Whether or not you agree that pedophilia is a mental disorder for some people, I think there are genuinely people on that sub that are getting help for their problems. If you take away community spaces where people feel like they can talk, you only increase the chances that those people will go out there and do horrible things. If you want to waste time harassing people, why not harass Spez, or poke around /r/cannibalism? You know, that place that actually encourages illegal behavior...

I'm not convinced that talking to other pedos is the best way to get help...

By that logic, are you against r/stopdrinking?

Maybe if they were starting to convince each other that molesting children really isn't all that bad, or something like that, but from what I've seen, that sub isn't like that at all. It can be extremely beneficial to have people who can relate to you, and to have a space where you can talk out your problems without feeling judged. When people feel so judged, they just clam up, and sometimes end up doing bad things because they weren't able to work out their feelings (and I'm not saying you shouldn't be judged for assaulting children - but beating down people who are seeking help doesn't do any good). As long as that sub doesn't block everyone that may have critiques for them (that doesn't include trolls or people brigading them), and is transparent, which it seems to be, I think it's mostly a good thing.

So since you dont tink its an effective way of helping them you decide to harass them
