Fair enough. The admins would still have the ability to remove the subverse from the list. The board would be contained and not spill over other parts of the site while still acting independently as any phpbb or chanboard would be able to.

Got me to thinking. If the internet ever improves to the point where your up speed is much better than it is today I could see a lot of people having a dedicated machine just to do things like this. Let's face it you can get a $25 (Raspberry Pi-ish) + external harddrive set up that would handle the load. All kind of new distributed things would be possible.

While I currently appreciate and use voat, it is absolutely a step in the right direction and not a final goal. We need distributed peer-to-peer encrypted blockchain secure services. This is just reddit 2.0
