I'm doing both right now because I had some "friends" cross over and the new version of the community seems to be growing OK. I didn't leave because of PAO I came over to see what was up with VOAT and so far I like the format. I'm more likely to quit reddit than voat.

Unless things go to hell in a handbasket here, I'm not going anywhere. I've severed ties with Reddit. There's no reason to return.

I mentioned in another recent post that the quantity and quality of posts on reddit is off dramatically. I won't be going back.

I am sticking with Voat. Reddit has proven they don't care about the user base. They only care about money.

I'm gonna stay. With Reddit, I knew that the ship was sinking but I had nowhere else to go. I was looking up communities to go to beforehand for a month or so but never really found anything that special.

Then came this community, still small, quickly growing, still developing. Reddit was fun while it lasted, but I found something new that I can stick to and actually contribute to with it actually meaning something.

Staying. Reddit has shown that they are willing to silence free speech "behaviors" that they don't approve of. Even if they "undo" it, fire Pao, and wave the flag of "look-what-we-did-and-won't-you-come-back?" they are done. A reputation takes time, but yet one mistake will blow it. So, if you'll look left ladies and germs, you'll see the remains of Reddit, once a bastion of all free speech behaviors...

The problems with reddit have been steadily growing over several years, and Pao is merely the latest symptom. Reddit has always selectively enforced rules and their subreddits always susceptible to mod tyrrany. Certain kinds of discussion will always be discouraged. If not voat i'll look elsewhere.
