I have my dad's guns including a couple of service pistols. A great little number I love is the Colt 357. double action, hair trigger. Compared to the S&W 357, there's a big big difference. The S&W is quieter, doesn't have as much of a kick, isn't as accurate. The Colt has a smaller inner barrel radius, shorter barrel, and almost no gap between the barrel and the chamber. This thing blows plants/weeds down 15 feet in front of me when I'm firing it and there's a definite flash/fireball each shot - it's pushing more through a smaller barrel hole. And the kick... good god. After about 45 minutes of shooting it, your elbows and shoulders will be sore. 3 hours just plainly wears you out. It's not a gun you want to shoot without ear protection.

Respectfully, who would ever shoot a 357 without ear protection?

He was a career fighter pilot. Flew 200+ missions in Vietnam, and 30 years total.
She thought the gun was old and ruined. I cleaned it up, it's in beautiful shape. Love the patina on the trigger.
Best we could figure out on another gun site is that it is a S&W 10-2. Late 50s, early 60s. Custom pearl grips.
