I think the wild, wild west is a good description

I run several standard decks: got a green, blue, splash red Hydra and manna ramp deck, also run a chromatic hydra deck (which I'm altering into modern) and a red/ green agro deck. Tried doing EDH, just wasn't my thing.

I think we just let things roll as they may. We're a small community still. As we grow we can all vote and decide as a community to make the changes that we would like to see. So happy a MTG sub exists here. As a super new player (1 week in) I look forward to seeing all the posts about the game to help me better learn it.

I've been working on a neat idea which might be up your alley. Basically, the deck's end-game will be casting a Jarad's Orders to fetch a Deathmist Raptor into the graveyard and a Den Protector into your hand. The following turn you morph and flip the Protector, getting the raptor onto the field for free and returning the Jarad's Orders to your hand. Rinse and repeat.

That end-game engine doesn't use many slots in your deck, and those cards aren't awful in a vacuum. The end-game only requires that you draw and cast a single Jarad's Orders to get going, so the rest of the deck can be disruption and control elements, along with utility/value creatures. If the mana can be made to work for it, I'd be tempted to find space for a couple copies of Demigod of Revenge as an alternative win-con for Jarad's Orders to find. You put one demigod in the yard and the other in hand. Cast the one from hand, get both for 10 power of hasty, flying goodness.

I haven't got a polished decklist yet, but I'm working on one for an article.
