There are not enough Alefantis's in existence to think that the name wasn't changed at some point. Maybe he was a L'enfant like the ones who designed DC?

According to this, there's only two incidences of that that surname in Greece.

So it's not common at all.

It is a translation issue the English "e" can be y,u,h,i,oi or ei in Greek so Alifantis gives 35 results in the site you used.

For example : 6880 results in google.gr for Αλυφαντής

1650 results in google.gr for Αληφαντής

2320 results in google.gr for Αλειφαντής

The root of the name is archaic and it is connected to an occupation the one with the "u" indicates a textile maker , not sure about the others.

I agree that there is a strong liklihood that this was a name later assigned to the dude. I will assume this until I see evidence otherwise. Not that someone with that name immigrated here, but I would like to see school pictures, high school records etc. My guess is that James is inept at his ability to PR because he is unaccustomed to regular interactions and is likely socially awkward around normal people (inappropriate much?) due to being abused himself as a child. Seems likely if he is indeed involved.

James Achilles Alefantis is his name. Achilles is a character in mythology known for his Achilles heel. The mythological Achilles had a companion Patroclo or Patroclus and it is suspected they were male homosexual lovers. There is a famous kylix (pottery) with an image of Achilles binding up Patroclo's wound. Since James is apparently at least partly homosexual due to his relationship with David Brock, it seems that he chose this middle name based upon his sexuality. He also uses a statue of a Greek as his Instagram avatar. Many homosexuals are into neo Greek/Roman religions because they feel these ancient cultures were better for homosexuals and blame Christianity for banning homosexuality. Thus, it seems to me he chose the middle name Achilles. I do not believe that was his birth name. He could have otherwise changed his name at the same time. Google Achilles and Patroclos.

Why do people keep parroting this bullshit? "Alefantis" doesn't mean anything whatsoever in French. Please check your facts.

There's so much actual dirt to be found on these people. Spewing obvious falsehoods hurts our cause.

i m french and i can assure you that "james alefantis" dont mean "i love children"in french (but yes it s look like)- we say : "j'aime les enfants"; and we dont say "l'enfant" for "a child",this is not grammatically right,it s sound weird for us,we say "un enfant"...
