Reality exists, and the people that claim putting all their chips on a number of the roulette wheel is the right thing to do are either cowardly men, or women with their "negativity" or "karma" or "spiritual negativity," or whatever other mumbo-jumbo they want to pretend will dictate how reality treats them.
Then, too, isn't it rather backhanded to say "Ok have a good day then, if you can."?
I think the guy just wanted to use some passive-aggressive shit his wife's been using on him to feel better about marrying her in the first place.
