I might be able to understand, think it is OK if all it was -is a pledge with actual money for a pre-order if the only amount possible to give was at 60 dollars or whatever the final retail cost would end up at. Online Petitions, anyone can sign those and their meanings are shit. Focus testing groups tend to be shit especially for games. But anything beyond a pledge to pre-order at the cost of the game is pure greed and bad for us consumers.
I never knew they made a shadow run kickstarter, only shadow run I ever played was the FPS on the 360 and I enjoyed that game (always see people shit on it, but it was really good.)

Bingo. Focus Testing most often brings the results you already know or the views that people think they want you to hear. There's a ton of issues with them.
As for the shadowrun, yeah there's Shadowrun Returns, and Shadowrun Dragonfall. Both of which are sort of XCom-ish style games. Returns isn't bad, Dragonfall is a good example of a sequel being done right. There's also "Online" or whatever they're calling it now, but that game is a disaster story .

Cool, I had no idea, oh and xcom is a great game.
