As loong as this doesn't wind up being one of those scams were they're "working for free" and then wind up getting a "gift" of a massive amount of cash down the road that's more than what they would have made before anyways.

I don't like this. I think he should take the salary. Another leader, John Key, does not take his salary - and it's arguable he uses it to virtue signal.

By the way I was being sarcastic. I think it's great that he's said no to it. He doesn't need it anyway and it shows that he really cares about doing what's right for the country. He's not in this for himself or the money. He's in this for America.

It's great news but not a surprise. He's a rich and successful businessman, just like Presidents Hoover and JFK who also declined the president's salary.
