I was actually referring to Europe, but it holds true for America as well. It's a bit hard to know where to start explaining something that seems so obvious, but even if the founding fathers were in fact not religious, they were not the ones who built the country. The millions of whites did, almost all of whom were religious.
Even when the church lost most / all of its power, the ethics of a Christian society lived on.

If the founding fathers were religious than we would be in a theocracy.

Three reasons off the top of my head that makes me think the founding fathers are religious. And this is from someone who's never even been to America.
Not sure if the founding fathers wrote the deceleration of independence, but it states "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator"
There is "in god we trust" on all of your money.
A large portion of America's white populace moved there due to religious prosecution. They were protestant fleeing from the Catholics. And protestant = religious. The people who moved there due to financial reasons, were still religious (keep in mind what time this is).
EDIT: I did notice that it says "their" creator and not "our" creator, which is either done to welcmoe all religions or could be because they weren't religious themselves. Either way, my previous point was that the populace that built the country were religious. And that's what I meant by my first comment. I really don't care much about the founding fathers on this point.
