Mike Rowe is one of the people I attribute to helping me to get my head out of my ass. Him, Adam Carolla, and probably Andrew Klavan. I got out of military and was starting Junior year of business school. Realized I was making a mistake for various reasons, and now using my Gi Bill towards trade school and getting certs. I have more homework than ever, but have way more purpose and motivation to get it done. I can't wait to finish up my first cert and start a part time beginner job while I finish school.
Business schools are just factory farms for hr departments and the like. I wasn't going to start my own business because I have nothing special to serve, so realized I was on a path towards corporate desk jobs with PC culture and all the works.

My time in the army was awesome. We don't have a GI bill here but I don't think I would have the fortitude to be where I am now. I'd say join the guard and give back but for you Americans deployments aren't optional. People in my reserve unit will kill each other over getting a deployment spot though. It's insane.
