I just tagged you because you tagged me. :) Thanks for the help & advice, tho. I am pretty new here. I came here because of the severe censorship imposed on us by all other sites during the election. As an (older) American, I'm used to being able to voice my opinion freely BUT things are changing rapidly and we're no longer able to speak freely(online) without being trolled, attacked, shadow banned, outright banned & or censored/comments removed. I didn't realize there were so many other rules here but daily someone tells me of rules or voat traditions, I'm violating or doing wrong. I try to respect others & not break rules or traditions. I will always appreciate those who have good intentions. I won't tag anyone, anymore.

Don't worry about it. It's just a guideline. I'm not biting your head off, and I'm pretty sure nobody else around here will either (though we might prod and poke fun at you until you 'git gud', so to speak). I'm just pointing out that it defeats the purpose to tag someone whose comment you are directly replying to. You'll pick these things up over time, just as I did; nobody can be expected to learn all of the unspoken etiquette of a community in less than three weeks, after all.
That being said, I agree with what you say about speaking your mind. Things are clamping down, and we have to fight back, if we're to keep our ability to speak freely online. Hopefully, we can get somewhere on that front. Time will tell, I suppose.
