Headline is bullshit. Still an interesting article but i saw no mention of a bribe or pay-off in the email.

I think the line:

...and when the time is right I will have money in the bank with him and his people as a liberal to urge them to come out in force to vote for HRC...

is not referring to a bribe per se, but to this particular person looking like he has credibility among Bernie supporters as someone who switched to support Hillary in the general.

It's still a scumbag thing to do; to act as if you support one candidate so that when "time is right", you can make it appear as if you are switching to support another late in the election.

This article is misleading in that respect. I would much prefer to see leaks posted directly to Voat, with any editorializtion as a comment to help expound upon. This will help lend credibility to this effort to make these leaks a big deal, and not just some right-wing political maneuvering.

I've come not to trust headlines here. 90% of them are sensationalized.

I've come across the author of that email several times while looking through the Wikileaks emails. He wrote to Podesta often giving advice but there's no indication Podesta ever paid him any mind. Honestly he comes across as a lonely old, irrelevant man who's trying to stay attached to the 'cool kids'.

I.... I don't get that AT ALL. It says they were basically going to be nice to Bernie, and he wasn't going to get the nomination anyways, they trick his supporters into supporting HRC...... NOTHING about paying him off.
