What if people who care about themselves enough to go to the doctor to delay childbirth are the same type of people who also have the means to go to the doctor to get a depression diagnosis? Economics factors weren't mentioned in the abstract. Probably harder to integrate.

it's a fair point actually. however the much higher propensity for teenagers on the pill and depression rates are too alarming to ignore.
