I want to stick around, and for Voat to work out, but in order for that to happen we need to work on some things, starting with site performance. Also, I believe the reason reddit obfuscated its upvote-downvote counter was to prevent spammers from knowing if their posts were working. What are we doing here to prevent spam before it starts?
Other that that, Voat feels like a more welcoming, tight-knit community. I like it.

I plan on staying. This place gives me a chance to submit content and not just be ignored or down-voted to hell. Reddit's censorship also just pissed me off. I believe in freedom of expression and access to information. I understand they are a private corporation and can run the site as they will. But I also do not have to support them if our values do not align. Plus, they took away FPH, which was one of the biggest reasons I even used the site. There are plenty of cat pictures here as well to keep me satisfied.

I'd like to switch permanently if possible, just depends on if it can get active and populated enough here.
The community from what I've seen so far does seem much better, but that may just be because of how small it is comparatively, will just have to see what happens i guess.
It's smaller so I actually feel like commenting here. It seemed like you couldn't have any opinion on reddit without getting some angry replies for the last few months. Also, haven't checked reddit since I switched and I'm ok with that. I'm actually spending less time doing this now too just because there's less to get lost in.

It depends. I have some fairly specific subreddits that I frequent. Until voat has those and they're fairly active, I'll be on reddit primarily.
