I would love to see all the hams reeing when they get to the airport. Cause you know when they buy the tickets and fill out all the info they're going to put down "150 pounds! Teehee! I saw a muscle yesterday!"

If you think they are lying, take a guess, then add ten pounds to that guess. lol

It's a highly accurate process.

Asking each passenger for his or her weight

Yes, because that worked SO well at a water park that we should implement the same procedure for a plane full of people

We should wrap them in plastic, then when they stop moving... they'll be safe enough to weigh. Scales will be kept clean. Might need a heavy duty crane to move the dead weight though... package them as freight in the hold which should be cold enough to stop them smelling too much. Then deliver them to relatives abroad for disposal. And fine them if they don't collect their trash.

No relatives? Should fly them on military planes and dump the unwrapped load once over international waters. This should help the dwindling shark populations. Tsunami waves might be a problem though.

You could weight the plane itself. That would either be expensive (per-parking spot scales) or add delay (one scale each plane must visit before and after passengers board). Then we could get at how much the fatties really cost to fly around. And hopefully charge them in full.

I say we weigh them at check-in with a klaxon for overweight and flashing lights, then charge them per pound.

Lol, already out-thought by actual aerospace engineers.

I was wondering how widespread those systems are..

The other way is averages, but they seemingly haven't been updated in a while. Scary shit really.
