Mylan CEO's mother used position with education group to boost EpiPen sales nationwide
'Manchin became president-elect of the education association in late 2010 and Welburn retired at the end of 2011. '
'"Companies like that don’t know schools," Welburn said. '
'It also faces an antitrust probe by the New York attorney general stemming from its EpiPen sales contracts with schools. '
'Welburn recalls Manchin stopping by her office saying her "daughter's company" could donate to the group. '
'Part of the "boilerplate" language in the association’s Mylan agreement says the group "will not directly or indirectly promote Mylan Specialty’s products," Amundson said. '

Simple, you just write a law that says it's legal, then pay a bunch of senators and representatives to get is passed.
Voila, it's legal.

Another argument for private schools and homeschooling. Besides being a potentially smart move individually you reduce corruption by reducing the number of things the government needs to manage.
