well since you know so much about NFL operations, you obviously know that player protests have been within the player code of conduct and withholding funds from teams would open the door to the NFL being sued by the teams. player code of conduct can only be changed at the end of the year and it must be brought to a vote and passed by the team owners. as the saying goes.... there is always next year.

Perhaps the logic escapes you... They have the right to protest by disrespecting the nation giving the NFL money. We also have the right to not give the NFL money. The NFL is a business, and won't tolerate a loss of income.

I don't see these player protests as disrespecting the nation, just like I don't think your form of protest would either.
No business wants to lose money, but sometimes they do. At times it is their own fault. Other times, it may not be. Whatever the reason, they must tolerate them, because that is a part of business.
Nothing wrong has been done by these players. They have only offended the easily offended. Cry babies are smaller portion of the market than non cry babies. That means more people will continue to watch than will not.
Perhaps the logic escapes you... the NFL will tolerate the cry babies running away because there are more of us that respect our country enough to know that the right to protest is part of American and infringing the right to do so is far more offensive.
