Is anyone actually in danger of malnourishment? No? Well, fuck off then.

Wanting more food is not being food insecure in the same was as feeling hungry is not starving.

I can't afford to have someone on call to tuck me into bed every night and ensure that I have a fresh cup of water near me in case I wake up thirsty. That doesn't equate to "can't afford to sleep". But I'm willing to bet that a good chunk of the people who responded were defining food as a meal which someone else prepared for them.

"number of Americans threatened by hunger"
....aka starvation mode? This % in no way matches up with the amount of overweight and obese US citizens. But clearly their poverty only allows them to buy food at mcdonalds. Fuck you Obama!!!!
/s in case there are any silly shitlords on here. 😉

The connection between being fat and eating too much i.e. not being hungry, has been completely severed in our culture. Every article I read lamenting "hunger in America" today has pictures of lard buckets at food banks. Feeling a bit peckish because you ate 4 hours ago is NOT hunger.
