America has become food-insecure. We have found the reason: Fatties have eaten everything.

This footage of the phenomenon was recovered.

One of the worst REEEEings I have ever heard in person involved giving to a charity. I am absolutely not trying to humble brag. I felt moved to give via monthly donation by sponsoring a couple of kids in third world countries where hunger is very much a real, actual, genuine threat.

I had another (human sized) family member who had done the same thing about the same time as my SO and I did. We were discussing it. Later a different relative (ham) wanted to talk to me about it.

She started asking why I decided to give to that particular charity. After I replied her face scrunched up like somebody had just taken a shit under her nose and yelled at me that I was selfish to donate to kids overseas when there are starving children right in my backyard.

Told her I had seen a ton of fat butterball kids but that in our area of America had never seen one actually starving. Also asked her how she knew whether or not I wasn't already giving to other local charities as well.

Seriously I am sure there are some kids somewhere in America who go to bed hungry and I think that's a damn shame but taking a look around I just cannot believe this is a widespread problem... quite the opposite.

I can get a weeks worth of food from the dollar store for $20. I have never seen a homeless person who looked starving. I'll give them food but never money.

I don't give people on the street begging money either. All of the ones I have seen in my area holding up the signs declaring they are hungry - fat. It really is depressing.

Could be because of the overpopulation.......caused by to much help from the outside and zero self sufficiency on the inside. Foreign aid hurts the third world, it doesn't help it.

The charity I give to actually works with the local communities to help develop self sufficiency. After they have reached that phase in a particular community they pull out of the area. They also use part of the money to give micro loans for the locals to start up their own local businesses. They dig wells that will last, teach people different farming techniques, etc... Their gift catalog includes items like x number of chickens or x number of ducks, a cow and other farm animals with the logic being that those animals will breed and multiply and provide fresh eggs to eat, milk, meat, etc...

It's a hand up not a hand out. This was a major factor in my decision to give to this particular charity. I know no charity is perfect just like no person is perfect (including myself) and I'm sure that someone working in or with that charity does something that I wouldn't personally approve of or like but overall they are a well respected charity and have been around for a long time.

I did my research before handing over my money. I specifically didn't want to contribute to a charity that was just walking around handing out free shit. Part of the reason why I decided not to contribute to certain charities in my own nation and certainly the reason why I don't give money to people on the street begging.

One of the children I "sponsor" wants to become a nurse, the other a teacher. I don't see how my contributing and actually being the reason why one of these children can afford school things to actually be able to attend school is a bad thing. Just my opinion and just something that I wanted to do.

Next time the fatty talks about starving children, be like "they're only starving because you're wearing their food". Oughta shut her up.

It really caught me off guard. I wasn't "humble bragging" or outright bragging about it or anything. My relative who had decided to do it as well was talking about it and all I said was "Oh, us too". We started talking about it and hammy overheard. The relative and I who decided to do it were actually both just excited about it and that was the overall tone of our conversation so I was actually pretty shocked. I was kind of at a loss for a comeback.

I mean if she doesn't agree with my SO and I giving or my other relative and his SO giving then fine, we'll have to agree to disagree but why in the hell she decided to ask me all about it and then slam me and call me selfish. She actually scolded me about it and told me that I should know that "charity begins at home". She didn't dare say shit to my male relative who also decided to give.

I guess I should have told her that she was absolutely right and that I should start fundraising to send all of these damn home kids to fucking fat camp. I am really horrible with coming up with good on the spot comebacks.

100% of the time, if an American kid is starving, it has a fatcunt parent who gets food stamp money but eats it all up themselves.

100%.
