Every American is being spied on. So if you are going to speak online you may as well speak the truth before the fema vans come to take you to the concentration camps.

I believe that if the government is gonna spy on us we should be able to spy back.

That's what the email leaks are for. Assange, Snowden, and Guccifer are the real leaders of the people now.

That is why I support them. I think whistleblowers are true patriots because they actually care about what is happening with their or country, or the world.

Privacy, the forgotten issue: Apathy is making Americans vulnerable - Salon.com

'One wouldn’t expect Uber to have access to that information, but that’s possible when privacy is not protected. '

'If consumers appear to value privacy, sometimes companies benefit from helping them maintain it. '

'The top presidential candidates have not spent much time talking about privacy, but we do know some things about how they might handle surveillance and other privacy issues. '

'Yet Americans often seem increasingly apathetic about maintaining their privacy. '

'Calo said privacy threats will become only greater when machine learning is regularly applied to trying to understand people. '

Its not apathy. It is exhaustion and hopelessness. The government keeps going for this shit over and over again. They have beaten us down like peasants.

No it's apathy. Let's stop acting like people are so beat down and persecuted, people throughout history would laugh at that considering the problems they had to face down. This is pathetic.

If Trump waits until the debates to announce he will abolish surveillance if elected I'll vote for him.

Maybe we should stop supporting politicians like Trump and Clinton who openly support pushing this stuff down our throats? But, no, identity politics are what mobilizes both the right and left, so we are left in this situation.

There were a lot of Bernie Bros because he said he was against all of that, but Bernie rolled over so here we are.

Most people want safety and some sense security, even if what they are offered is only feel good security. The government, media and business give them that in spades. The problem is they are no longer trustworthy. Convincing people otherwise is a tough task. If you want to fix the problem fix the source.
