Wait, people are defending the no headphone jack thing? It's about as anti-consumer as you can get

I thought it was so appropriate that they're using a black man in their advertising. They are becoming like Nike. Something that dindus are willing to kill each other over, but nobody else really cares anymore.

The Reality Distortion Field seems to be persisting after Jobs' death.

What's worse are the people who attack it and then say they're still going to buy it. If you don't like it then don't buy it. No one is going to force you to buy it and buying it means that they will never learn. The best case scenario is that the iPhone 7 tanks. Like, really fucking tanks. Then the iPhone 7 Plus (which will definitely happen) has an earbud jack and an apology. What's more likely to happen now is that the next Samsung phone also doesn't come with a headphone jack.
When you treat consumers like shit and they still buy your crap you're giving them permission to treat you like shit.

Do you really think Samsung is going to look at the influx of Samsung smartphone purchases in reaction to the iPhone 7's shittiness and all the memes calling out Apple's bullshit and think "You know what we need to do? Follow Apple's example and remove the audio jack."?

Why the fuck not? They removed the removable battery and user expandable memory. Samsung are just as bad at removing feature as what Apple are..
Well to be fair they did add the latter back later.

Depends if it sells. If the iPhone 7 sells well, then Samsung might consider doing the same; remove the audio jack and sell its own wireless earphones.
I personally trust Samsung not to do it since they are more about utility than focussing on sleekness like Apple, but in the world of capitalism, anything that's successful should be treated as such and considered on the drawing board.

What the fuck is there to defend? It was a business choice. The only whiff is the wireless charging.
