I don't remember the name of the game but I do remember two gorillas on the side of a building throwing bananas at each other. It was back in the early 90s on PC and I used to love playing it

It was watching my dad play Descent, Myst, and Doom. Me personally, it was playing Lemmimgs on Windows 95. There was also this weird sim-like game called Bob. Anybody remember that?

Ah man, I remember lemmings. That was a great game, although I was never any good at it. Always ended up frustrated and going to do something else.

When you're 5 or 6, it's a game.

The best Duke Nukem was the side scrolling ones.

Just finished replaying the Megaton Edition on Steam. I can literally never get tired of this game. I remember I went with my grandpa to buy a game for doing well on my report card and he said "Dang this game looks cool!" so we bought it for the computer, then it came out for the N64 and I had it for that too, installed a custom firmware on my old PSP just so I could play it on the go, purchased an old laptop on eBay that I found for cheap that ran Windows 95 the first thing I installed was Duke Nukem. Damn. I love that game. Thanks Grandpa.

Why would you buy an old laptop with windows 95?

I guess this also my first PC game. Used to play it on a 40 MHz machine and VGA monitor. Awesome times. Then shortly after I went onto Wolfenstein.

Edit - was on something like this: http://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?c=1011&st=1

Ever Quest. Dad made me a character to dick around with when I was 4. I remember getting to level 5 and thinking I was the greatest player ever.

The first game I owned was Pokemon yellow for my gameboy colour, Pokemon was my childhood..

I also remember playing mario on my brothers nes.

It still baffles me to see how far games have come from those days. The evolution (hah get it) or Pokemon and Mario is staggering, I can't wait to see what they look like in 10 years time.

Pokemon yellow was one of my firsts too! It's what really got me into gaming.

When I was a kid I used to love playing the Pokemon games on GBC, Sonic on the Dreamcast, and Ms. Pacman on the arcade machine at my uncle's bar. Pacman was fucking awesome.

Also, assuming if by "gaming," you're including all gaming, and not just video games, I loved yu-gi-oh and pinball. It's a shame that games of the non-video variety don't get as much attention now.

First memory of gaming was on a Tandy. I'm pretty sure it was the very first flight simulator with my dad, although 25+ years have fogged my memory a little bit.

First memory of "modern" gaming was CoD 4. The first multiplayer gaming experience is something I'll likely never forget.

Ohh man. We also had a Tandy growing up. So much time watching my dad play some Dungeons and Dragons type game. My brother recently dug it out of the garage. Still works, and is awesome.

Doom. That game scared the shit out of me.

Doom is the first game I can recall making me sort of jump in my seat. It was amazing for the time. Good design and good sound actually managed to create an immersive experience.

Wait, do you mean Doom 3 or the Doom I grew up with?
