My first memory huh? Well, I have vague memories of playing games on the Commodore 64c. Classics there, but nothing too specific.

My first good memory would be my family getting our first tower PC. My dad for whatever reason got Duke Nukem 3D. I remember playing it and having a great time, until I got to some rooftop area. I'd kill some aliens then die and the game would hard freeze. Every single time in the same place. I've never played the game since then, nor any other Duke games.

It was so long ago that I can't really tell which was first, but I clearly remember "seeing" Pac Man in an arcade cabinet when I was very young while my family waited for dinner. On home consoles I remember playing Spider Man on Atari very clearly (the one where you have to climb up the building by shooting your web slingers, and you always fall all the way down on the sidewalk because they don't attach to the building all that well).

When I was a kid I had a PlayStation 2; my first gaming console, but I didn't know that your needed a memory card so save the game data. So for a week or two I would just turn the t.v. off so I wouldn't lose my progress. But everything I every now and then my mom would power of the system unwittingly deleting all my data. I did eventually get a yellow memory card that has a capacity of 10 megabytes.

NFS2SE. I remember going to a local Internet Cafe and watching other people playing, but the owner wouldn't let people just watch.

Final Fantasy on the PS1. That was also the game I made my one and only gaming username so it holds some sentimental value.

Playing Super Mario Bros 2 with friends. I had no idea what to do and got super excited to play that when you chose a character you're supposed to raise your hand by pressing up. Well, I didn't know that. They just said, okay raise your hand to pick your character.

I got the controller, and I raised my hand.

I'm not sure which I encountered first.

Beast on a PC at school or Super Mario Bros. on NES at a friend's house.
