Earliest memories are playing dig dug, pacman, donkey kong, pitfall, and a couple bad racing games on the Atari. But shortly after that we got an NES. That is where I started have more fun. Zelda will always have a special place in my heart. Before the internet my family use to sit around together and work out the dungeons. I still have the hand written maps that my mom made. Those were good time. And of course, mario and duck hunt were regulars on our tv.

Very earliest would be Bomber on the sinclair zx81, lot's of commodore after that (vic-20, 64 and Amiga 500+)

Can't beat a bit ofJetpac, Battlezone, 1942, elite, Treasure Island Dizzy, Ninja Gaiden, monkey islsnd etc.

I had all my tape load times on the cassette cases for the vic / 64....that feeling when the counter went above the normal load time and you gave up, had to rewind and try again.

And now I get annoyed at install times and patches / updates.

For me, it was getting the N64 on my birthday along with the best game ever made: Super Mario 64.

Playing the original Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Mega Drive. Love it.

Donkey Kong on the Atari 800 when I was four. 26 years later I still have it and it still works (but using a Sega Genesis controller instead of the Atari joysticks that broke long ago). Last Christmas I took turns playing with my parents and my sister after she asked me to bring it over.

My very first games were even earlier than that, but I was too young to remember. When I was two my parents had a floppy disk of Night Mission Pinball, and they would let me sit on their lap and press the keys for the paddles. They say I liked the game so much that I once gave the disk a hug like it was a teddy bear, and that was the end of it.

This is one of my first memories in general as well as my first game related one. Way back in the 80's my father was a young man in his early 20s. He was all about some NES. We had the Mario/Duck Hunt cart that came with the system. I tried it. Was not emotionally mature enough for Mario. I cried inconsolably and let the timer run out while Mario chilled at the beginning of the level. Goombas were scary and would kill me. Apparently I took video game death very seriously. Dad found this hysterical. He laughed right in my little kid face.

I've laughed at my daughter through the years for many of the odd things video games threw at her.

Mortal Kombat on PC.

First game I remember beating multiple times was Heart of Darkness on PC and PS1.
