My earliest memory was on my older brother's Tandy computer. He used to subscribe to a service called Big Blue Disk and we would receive games/programs monthly. The game that got me hooked was a rpg dungeon crawler called Moraff's Revenge. Game was hard as shit, I don't think it was possible to beat... you just went deeper and deeper into the dungeon.

This is one of my first memories in general as well as my first game related one. Way back in the 80's my father was a young man in his early 20s. He was all about some NES. We had the Mario/Duck Hunt cart that came with the system. I tried it. Was not emotionally mature enough for Mario. I cried inconsolably and let the timer run out while Mario chilled at the beginning of the level. Goombas were scary and would kill me. Apparently I took video game death very seriously. Dad found this hysterical. He laughed right in my little kid face.

I've laughed at my daughter through the years for many of the odd things video games threw at her.

For me, it was getting the N64 on my birthday along with the best game ever made: Super Mario 64.

Sitting down and watching my dad play Might and Magic VI: Mandate of Heaven when I was 6 or 7. Then one day he sat me down and helped me make a party and taught me how to play!
