Hugs, That is terrible. Complete bullshit too - but you know that. I got diabetes with my 1st pregnancy. With the 2nd I managed to avoid it by watching everything I ate like a hawk. The way a roomful of fats will watch the last slice of pizza.

My fat sister and her hog husband kept telling me I was starving my unborn child. They also gave me tons teehee of grief for breast feeding (it's disgusting apparently). These people - sorry these fat fucks - are idiots.

Oh man, I don't get the naysayers for breastfeeding. It was a publicly pushed thing...decades ago!! It's long since been debunked

But... but... science has proven once and again and again and AGAIN that breasfeeding is one of the best things you can do for your baby! It protects them from illnesses, it raises their own defenses, it even raises their intelligence! Unless you're eating uranium for breakfast or are going into chemotherapy, breast feeding is one of the best gifts a mother can give her child? Did they really critizice you for it? Seriously? Sorry, that is SO stupid and ignorant I'm flabbergasted.

Assume for a moment this was a fat patient who received a similar comment from a 21-BMI health care worker.

If you think they would file a complaint, then file a complaint. If you think they'd let it go, then let it go.

It would go viral on fb within the hour. If there's one thing fats can be counted on for, it's propagating all the ways they are "discriminated" against.

Yeah unfortunately she had to ask - no papers on hand, that's the way it works here. The response though... I'd spent most of the day at work trying not to fall apart, this did nothing to help. And despite this being an accidental pregnancy... Emotionally devastated doesn't even cover it. Once we found out about the bub, we both wanted it. Now coming to terms with it and considering how long to wait before trying to conceive.

Why the fuck would you ever EVER say these things to a woman who just lost her child? I don't care who you are it's a fucking shitty thing to do, human or fat. YOU NEVER EVER SAY THIS SHIT TO A WOMAN WHO MISCARRIED!! She feels like shit and is probably wondering if she did something wrong and feeling a torrent of horrible emotion surrounding the whole horrible thing. Don't EVER blame a woman who has JUST LOST HER BABY YOU FAT TURDS!!

THIS OP. What this person did violated your rights, and since they were in a health care facility but unlicensed to practice medicine, violated federal law.

Yeah, there was literally no reason for her to state that "fact" unless she saw an opportunity to put down a thinner and therefore more attractive person than her. Subconsciusly fats will always attack a thin person, even if they don't mean to. But they usually do.

Positively file a formal complaint with the employer and with your state or county department of health. At the very least, that was deliberately nasty and unprofessional and it was more likely bordering on malpractice. That was total bullshit, so don’t put up with it.

Actual malpractice, because wrong information: Does obesity increase the risk of miscarriage in spontaneous conception: a systematic review.
