The difference is you once had an arm. But if I wanted a third arm and got that attached it would be wierd right?

Its the same with furries and the other shit like that, thinking they are something else. And no I dont think that defines humanity, most people might want to be something else but they know they arent. People know they are human and either xx or xy, and that is the normal way.

What you might be trying to suggest is that it isn't helpful to attempt correcting the neurological dissonance with surgery.

Yes, thats kinda what I mean. When I have read posts/sotries or watched shows with trannies/furries and other people who modify themselves to the extream come across as unstable.

I can admitt they are not ill or deseased, I think they are defect. I dont want them dead or anything like that. If they want to chop of their limbs or undergo other treatments that's fine, but not on tax money or state help. I also dont like that they are glorified in todays media and made heros for doing nothing other than mutilating themselves.

Alright, I think I understand you. I also agree that I cannot fathom the reasoning behind why differences are paraded about as something innately good, when those differences might not be good (even to the person themselves). The matter of tax money is a bit of a stickler, however, because without public funding for mental health treatment the situations get a lot worse. In other countries without treatment, for example, the worst cases go and mutilate themselves and don't always survive it.

I don't think there is a clear and easy answer. It makes me testy when people think there is, because a "clear solution" quickly becomes a clear mistake if due caution isn't applied. Unfortunately, I think the "clear solution" of surgical "reassignment" is often also a mistake.

Mental health is not easy and thats why im not a fan of what media is doing here. By sending out the message that gender surgery is brave and heroic it will make other people who suffer from depression think thats the answer. More research is needed on why they feel this way, and thats where tax money should go. Not to surgeries and superfical things.
