No, short term diets don't work. Your diet is what you eat everyday. You can't eat well for a month and then go back to your lifetime of shoveling in garbage and this your going to keep your results. Fucking fat morons. You have to eat well for the rest of your fucking life you worthless shit stain.

The phrase doesn't mean go out and start a diet to lose weight. It means that if you chug a 2 liter of soda at each meal and drown your food in ranch, no amount of exercise is going to make you skinny.

The article is bemoaning the "ever increasing" amount of physical activity being recommended, which is now at 60 minutes a day. You know how long it used to be for 90% of America.? 8 to 10 hours. Get out from your desk and go move you lazy fat sacks of shit.

Does Exercise Really Make Us Thinner? -- New York Magazine

'For most of us, fear of flab is the reason we exercise, the motivation that drives us to the gym. '

'Since a pound of fat is equivalent to 3,500 calories, does that mean we’ll be a pound slimmer for every week we exercise?'

'As the Finns themselves concluded, with characteristic understatement, the relationship between exercise and weight is \x93more complex\x94 than they might otherwise have imagined. '

'It’s also why public-health authorities have taken to encouraging ever more exercise as part of a healthy lifestyle. '

'And will we continue to slim down at this pace for as long as we continue to exercise?'
