i'm not sure that Voat is running on that code base - seems to me someone stated that a newer version was in use, but that the source wasn't published yet
really though, i'm not sure about that, but that code hasn't been updated in quite a while and i'm sure many changes have been made since then

The code I have seen was better developed than I have seen in big companies by highly paid professionals. For a learning site this is actually very good.

I brought up an instance of the code from about 1 year ago to take it for a spin and was quite impressed that there was order and thought put into the structure. For a learning project it was certainly better than a lot of open source projects I have worked with that had veteran coders on the team. I haven't seen the newer code yet but I think Atko and Puttitout have done some good work that you don't often see in professional projects. It certainly beats a lot of the code I have had to refactor from Indian outsource projects and even some high powered independent contractor programmers. I'd hire these guys in an instant if I was needing some good .Net coders.
