Wow, it looks awesome. I was SimCity 4 fan years ago...never thought Cities Skylines exists.

Bought it shortly after release and love everything about it.
I've played Sim City (1992), Sim City 2000, and Sim City 4. None of them even touch this game.
Highly recommend it for city sim fans.

So I am not someone who has ever been SUPER into SimCity games(except SimCity 2000 for some reason). I'm wondering what would make this something that's preferable to SimCity? Other than, of course, the incredibly stupid connectivity crap lol.

Cities Skylines is exactly the sort of game that is what people want but developers never make any more. It does everything you expect it to and then they give the community the power to push the game in whatever direction they want either through active engagement with the community or mods. Fantastic game. pics and this shows you the scale of the game too.

I was gifted it not too long after it came out, and as a person who is only casually into city simulators, I found myself loving it, especially with the availability of mods for almost any purpose. My favorite time playing the game was when I downloaded a map that was a chain of islands, connected the islands with dams, and used tons of water pumps to empty the ocean in between all of the islands. I then built a bustling metropolis, complete with thriving industry and some very wealthy suburbs. Then I destroyed the dams. The game didn't come with any real natural disasters, so I had to make my own.
