The court of public opinion is "this is wrong".

Republicans feel it is totally wrong, Democrats are embarrassed that it's allowed and it appears, in general, that they think it's wrong also. Reports show that most secretary of state have done it in the past, most politicians are doing it now. This sounds like the perfect time for bipartisan agreement that it won't happen in the future.

If it's morally wrong, make it illegal. Stop the "oversight" now while the iron is hot. Quit making it a witch hunt and fix the fucking problem.

What is the point of having a law if they refuse to enforce it against the politically connected people.

Republicans saw how terrible Kenneth Starr's unrestricted investigation was, and squelched that after it was used once so it could never be used on them. The toothless investigation in regard to Secretary Clinton's email is a direct result of that decision.

Both parties need to try again at improving this country.
