I think that the 'peasant' shaming should be made more obvious in jest. Like I know people that actually really look down on console gamers, can't we just be more introducing and welcoming to the community if they are interested, and hate on more broad-spectrum issues (such as all those stupid petitions to make some games truly console exclusive) and less about the people?

I honestly think that you fundamentally miss the point.

I have to agree here. While a bit of a laugh every once in a while is nothing bad, the PCMR has got a horrible reputation for putting people down which we really need to get rid of. It should be a fact that PC is better, not that consoles are worse. For me, PCMR is all about giving people the power to choose a platform which offers the freedom (and let's face it, raw power) that PC gaming does. Immediately calling anyone who's ever touched a console a filthy peasant is not going to convert them to our cause.

We shouldn't forget that all it takes to join the PCMR is agreeing that PC is superior. Not having a beast rig, not even necessarily having access to a computer, but sheer conviction.
If a person refuses to acknowledge PC's superiority after being confronted with objective fact, then they are a Peasant, and are worthy of being made fun of.
We're not even necessarily being satirical or tounge-in-cheek about the whole thing, PC is clearly superior. Making fun of Peasants or "worshipping GabeN" is tounge in cheek, but it's important to understand that the PCMR is mostly a serious thing.

This is something people in the master race often forgot because they got lost in it all which is part of the problem.

Totally agree. I hate all the gaben/circlejerking stuff. Often it felt like people would hate everything console related... untill it came out on pc then cry about how awesome it was, It always felt like a double standard to me. Sure I dont have any current gen consoles, pc all the way. but does that stop me saying at E3 I saw some cool PS4 exclusives? Nope. There were some and I wish I could play them (but wont be unless they some how get a port) but all the hate is just toxic IMO.

Yeah PCMR is for those who have already ascended, not those who are trying to.

For me, building my PC is a cheaper/less time consuming alternative to working on cars. I still do that occasionally, but it's just so much easier to have a single day project with my PC. My previous job involved a lot of hardware repair on various desktops and notebook devices, and I miss working with my hands. This not only fills that for me, it lets me see the results and enjoy them immediately.

Eh, I think just toning down on the shitposting would be the only change I'd like to see.
