In reality though why would anyone give donation contributions to an official who doesn't have their interest at heart. That's like an abortion clinic donating to someone who has a solid stance on anti-abortion. I'm not defending though, I just think the whole system is corrupt and the "donation" aspect needs to be eliminated, organization's like "Wolf-Pac" exist but it's hard to see why politicians would shoot themselves in their financial foot (so to speak).

This day and age it would be quite easy to run with less donations. Technology and communication aren't what they used to be. You don't have to fly and drive around the entire country to be heard or interact with the populace. You could start by restricting slowly, as in donations are only given for a particular event etc. and not just dumped onto the campaign itself.

I find it funny that they will continually submit the fast track until it gets approved. But never touch it once it gets passed
