Because the media is 100% propaganda, they need figureheads that Americans 'know' and trust. Can't replace them without losing credibility.

Because networks charge a shit-ton of money to advertise on their stations and they make a shit ton of money and the talent wants a piece of that. They know they have a limited shelf life to be on the air and so they want to get paid.

take a 6% pay cut and continue to be on tv or don't take a 6% pay cut and not be on tv. a million sounds good but it was nothing for her and also led to 10mm/year at yahoo which may not have happened if she got cancelled

So is anyone blaming the President , Hillary , or Mr Orange for this yet ? Just wondering since it seems like all I see is stories about those three . Or maybe it caused a cop to shoot someone ?

not really a big fan of couric, i mostly don't care either way but i heard her on the radio recently and she said something i thought was funny. the host was making the point that she'd been in the network news business before women had been anchors (yes it was npr, please forgive me for my heresy) and she said something like "i've been in the news business so long that when i started 'harass' was still two words." pretty funny stuff from an old lady in my opinion.
