It's an interesting story but the autoplaying ad means I will not upvote any link to this site.

The DEA stands at about the same level of uselessness and wastefulness as the TSA. You could take all that taxpayer money and flush it down a gigantic toilet, and the country would be better off.

Not surprising. I'd guess more than 50% of the people I've met in my generation smoke weed, the rest didn't care.

Far from a pot head. Smoked a little in college its fun but no life long love. If you look at all the destruction the drug war has caused globaly you might agree. Just all the evil shit its caused in mexico alone would be enough, but the countless famlies destroyed in america treating drugs as criminal activity rather then a health issue is insane and evil. And what business is it ofnthe government to tell me what i can put into my body. Not sure what your argument is? Are you a just say no type person? Relgion has you against drugs. Read upbon portugal and how they helped solve their drug problems.

Let's all just ignore the shredding of our Constitution.

We are thinking of the children now.

Not a pot head. I haven't smoked pot for quite a long time. While it certainly isn't the most evil thing that government has done, it is devastating and wasteful.

jury nullification?

It didn't go to court, so technically no. They indirectly ask you if you would use jury nullification ("would you have moral objections to convicting if the evidence conclusively proved guilt," or something like that). If you know what jury nullification is, and would use it in that instance, you'd have to say so at that point.

Apparently though, no one said they'd convict someone for possessing cannabis in this case, so the judge was unable to even have ("seat") a jury, and no jury apparently means no trial.

"justice" system.

Absolutely no respect for that shit hole, they can't even play by their own rules.

Close, but not quite. Judge called a recess since he couldn't seat a jury, and the dude plead out to something lesser without trial.
