no idea what your situation is but the first few years were a big struggle when i did the same thing. What I realised is that I was starting again from scratch, the same way you do when you first get out of high school/college/whatever. I didn't get a good job straight away then either, had to be a shitkicker for a few years. Same thing happened again when I threw it all in and started again.

No idea if this applies to you or not. But it might do.

Being frugal. No kids, no debt and no real reason to have a car. I live just outside Seattle. My monthly expenses are 600 bucks a month. I can make that money doing a fun part time job and gig work in a few days. I am not owned by stuff and a shitty slave wage job.

Eh, yes and no, I quit and I started looking for a job, so far I work far less than I did and have enjoyed the time I've spent with my family but I am now back looking for a new career and I'm hoping it will be one I don't have to take home with me.

I was laid off, didn't quit, but I'm hoping to start my own business. An amazon affiliate site. Very excited, been working on it for a few months now. If you're interested in doing this type of thing, there is money to be made, but it takes hardwork. Checkout /r/juststart
